Name: Anne F. Linzy Date of Death: Monday, April 24, 2006 Residence: Rome NY Age: 88 Obituary:Anne F. Linzy, 88, of 801 N. James St., Rome, died April 24, 2006 in Rome Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. She was born September 5, 1917 in Seneca Falls, NY, the daughter of William and Alice Halpin McNaney. Anne was a graduate of Romulus High School. On September 21, 1938, she married Francis D. Linzy in Belair, MD. He died July 31, 1979. Mrs. Linzy was a volunteer for the DDSO Senior Companion Program for several years. She enjoyed socializing at the Stonehedge Nursing Home Adult Day Care Program. Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Gloria Csicsila, Cortez, FL, Jacqueline and Tom Nelson, Rome; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Francis Linzy, Jr., John and Debbie Linzy, all of Rome; eight grandchildren, Bobby, Shawn, Carrie, Ashleigh Anne, Maya Lynsie, David, Dale and Carey; and four great-grandchildren. Anne was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Anne Linzy. Anne's family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Seedat and Dr. Rubinovich, the staffs of ICU Rome Hospital and Stonehedge Nursing Home for the care and compassion shown to her during her illness. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment New Union Cemetery, Verona Mills. Friends may call at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St. on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Contributions in Anne's memory may be made to the Stonehedge Nursing Home Adult Day Care Program.
