Obituary: Harry L. Alguire, 76, of 327 E. Bloomfield Street, Rome, New York, died Monday, March 19, 2007 at his residence. He was born August 14, 1930 in DeKalb, New York the son of Harry and Annabelle Thompson Alguire. Mr. Alguire was a graduate of DeKalb High School.
Harry was employed by the Rome Developmental Center for thirty-two years.
He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp serving in the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are one daughter, Kelley Bottini, two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Alguire and Michael and MaryLou Alguire, all of Rome; one sister Hazel LaRue, Heuvelton, New York; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Barbara Alguire and Kenneth and Lois Alguire, all of DeKalb; two grandsons, Brian, Christopher, two great-grandchildren, Sierra, Owen, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three sisters, Helen Conger, Joyce Weaver, MaryLou Alguire and three brothers, Harold, Maurice and Clarence.
Services: A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church Thursday 10:30 A.M. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements by the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome.
