Name: Rosalia Oleniuch Date of Death: Wednesday, January 11, 2006 Residence: Rome NY Age: 80 Obituary:Rosalia "Rose" Oleniuch, 80, of 6418 Lamphear Road, Rome, New York, died Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at her residence after a long illness. She was born December 10, 1925 in Ulesie, Poland the daughter of Pavel and Aniela Gluszek Olczyk. Mrs. Oleniuch was educated in Poland. On February 7, 1946 she married Peter Oleniuch in Rheine, Germany. Rose was a member of St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Orthodox Church. Rose was an excellent cook who enjoyed preparing Ukrainian and Polish dishes for family and friends. She was an avid gardener who loved flowers especially red roses. She also crocheted various items and gave them as gifts to family and friends. Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Stanley Oleniuch, Rome; Eugene Oleniuch, Syracuse; two sisters, Helen, Sofie, two brothers, Stanley, Stephen (Monk) and one grandson, Peter. Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome Monday at a time to be announced. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
