Name: Dominick E. Tomeo Date of Death: Wednesday, April 05, 2006 Residence: Syracuse NY Age: 90 Obituary:Dominick E. (Dom) Tomeo, 90, of Syracuse, formerly of Rome, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006 in Crouse Irving Hospital after a brief illness. He was born June 11, 1915 in Rome the son of Dominick and Mary Tomeo. Mr. Tomeo was a graduate of St. Aloysius Academy. On June 14, 1935 he married Ann Chudyk in St. Peter's Church. She died October 2, 1989. Mr. Tomeo was employed by the Rome Board of Education for over twenty years retiring in 1980 and previously was employed at the Rome Manufacturing Company. He also operated Tomeo's Market in the 50's. While in Rome he was a member of St. Paul's Church, Rome Moose Lodge, Ava Dorfman Senior Center and the South Rome Senior Center. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Michael Moynihan, Minoa; seven grandchildren, Richard Crosby, Michael Crosby, Mark Talbot, Stephanie Carlino, Deidre Breitfeller, Elliot Tomeo and Adrian Dugan, fourteen great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a daughter-in-law, Kay Tomeo, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by a son, Donald J. Tomeo, one sister, Anella Link and a brother, Anthony Tomeo. Funeral will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday at 10:15A.M. and St. Paul's Church 11:00A.M. Interment Rome Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday 4:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. Contributions may be made in Dominick's memory to the American Diabetes Association. Services: Calling hours Fri. 4-7pm Funeral Sat. 10:15am at the funeral home and 11am at St. Paul's Church
