Name: Charles Barrett Date of Death: Friday, January 06, 2006 Residence: 7990 Rte. 13, Blossvale Age: 75 Obituary:"Bud" Charles Barrett Charles "Bud" Barrett, 75, of 7990 Rte. 13, Blossvale, passed away January 7, 2006 at Bethany Gardens, after a long illness. He was born August 8, 1930 in Rome, the son of Sylvia Caraher. He was educated in Rome Schools and on August 8, 1953 he was united in marriage to Alice G. May in St. John's Church North Bay. She passed away January 5, 2003. Bud served his country in the U.S. Navy and was last employed at Griffiss Air Force Base working in the Maintenance Dept. While working there he was awarded the Plague of Appreciation from Feb. 18, 1987- April 28, 1995. At one time , Bud was employed at Pettibone Mulliken in Rome. He was a member of St. John's Church, North Bay, the N.R.A. and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are 3 daughters and two sons-in-law, Jan & Jerry Jackson, Verona, Jackie & John Nelson, Rome, Julie Barrett, North Bay, one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph C. & Susan Barrett, Camden, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10am from St. John's Church, North Bay. Burial will take place in McConnellsville Cemetery in the spring. Friends may call at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 Rte. 13, Camden on Sunday from 5-8 pm. Contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. Services: Funeral services Monday at 10am from St. John's Church, North Bay. Burial in McConnellsville Cemetery in the Spring. Calling hours 5-8pm on Sunday at the funeral home, Camden
