Obituary:Robert H. "Bobby" Page, III, 25, of Rome, skated to Heaven Saturday December 24, 2005 after a long illness with his beloved family and friends by his side. He was born March 11, 1980 in Rome the son of Robert and Alice Corigliano Page Jr. Bobby was a 1999 graduate of Rome Free Academy.
Bobby worked for the City of Rome Water Department for several years. He coached in the Rome Grizzlies Youth Hockey Association and he was a member of the Toccolana Club.
Bobby loved hockey, coaching kids, and was an avid fisherman. He touched the lives of everyone he met. His competitive nature made him a winner in life, and even in board games. He loved life, and especially children. Bobby's smile would enlighten even the darkest day.
Surviving besides his parents are, his brother, Aaron "Bear" Page, sister, Sommer Page, and his fiancée, Kristin Ciotti, all of Rome; his maternal grandmother, Georgeann "Non" Corigliano, of Rome; paternal grandparents, Joan and James Christodolou, of Rome, and Robert Page, Sr. and Donna Skinner, of Blossvale; his "second family," Donna and Pasquale Ciotti, of Rome; aunts and uncles, Antoinette and Peter Trela, of Rome, Tony and Judy Corigliano, of Canastota, Jimmy and Jodie Corigliano, of Rome, Joey Corigliano, of Rome, Jeffrey and Marybeth Corigliano, of Kirkland, Audie Corigliano and Heather Corigliano, of Rome, Amy Lynn and Rob Amidon, of Rome, Joyel and Steve Thalmann, of Hudson Falls, NY, and Lisa and David Dombrowski, of Rome; his "second sisters and brothers", Kim and Erik Luczak, Tammy and Frank DiMezzo, and Robin and Todd Lanzi, all of Rome; and several cousins and special friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Anthony "Pa" Corigliano.
Bobby's family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Beth Bulawa, Josh Stockbridge, Robert Esche, and to all his friends and family for everything that they did for him during his illness.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:30am at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, and 10:30am at St. John the Baptist Church. Interment will take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Contributions in Bobby's memory may be made to the Save of the Day Foundation or the Rome Grizzlies Youth Hockey Association.
