Barber, 73, of 5320 53rd Avenue, P1, Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Rome, died Tuesday December 20, 2005 in Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Sarasota, Florida after a long illness. She was born July 26, 1932 in Chateaugay, New York the daughter of William and Jean Gushlaw Fountain. Mrs. Barber was educated in Chateaugay. On December 5, 1949 she married Felice J. Barber in Rome. He died January 7, 1990. While in Rome she was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Joseph Gross, Bradenton; Rosemary and Michael Dickey, Snyder, New York; four sons and two daughters-in-law, LeRoy Barber, Tallahassee, Florida; Felix and Eileen Barber, Bradenton; Raymond and Gloria Barber, Blossvale; Andrew Barber, Rome; two sisters, Vernice Squadrito, Jane Pope and one brother, Charles Fountain, all of Rome; sixteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome Wednesday 8:30A.M. and St. John the Baptist Church 9:00A.M. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 5:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. Tuesday. Services: Calling hours Tues. 5-8pm Funeral services Wed. 8:30am Wed. at the funeral home and 9am at St. John the Baptist Church
