Name: Scott R. Premo Date of Death: Saturday, November 26, 2005 Residence: Rome NY Age: 32 Obituary:Scott R. Premo, 32, of Rome, died November 26, 2005 at his residence after a long illness. He was born December 4, 1972, in Rome, the son of Robert and Carol Premo. He was a graduate of Westmoreland High School, MVCC, and SUNY-IT. He also earned a Master's Degree in Literacy from SUNY-Cortland and a Master's Degree in Teaching from SUNY-Oneonta. Scott taught for four years at St. Peter's Elementary School in Rome and was currently a teacher in the Westmoreland Central School District. He was previously a substitute teacher in several area schools. Scott was a member of St. Peter's Church in Rome. Surviving besides his parents, are his sister, Tania, of Rome, and three brothers, Jason, of Orlando, and Brian and Erick, both of Rome; three nephews, Nicholas, Vincent and Christopher; his maternal grandmother, Marion Dorr; his special Goddaughter, Autumn Gardner, whom he loved and cherished very much, and her special parents, Valerie and John Gardner; his beloved Godson, Jacob Hibbard, and his parents, Matt and Karen; three special friends, with whom he made lasting memories with, Derek Jardieu, Jeff Tayntor, and Derek Wilbanks; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 8:45am at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, and 9:30am at St. Peter's Church. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 7-9pm, and Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Contributions may be made to the Premo family to help with incurring expenses or to the Scott R. Premo Scholarship Fund at Westmoreland for a student wanting to become a teacher.
