Dominick Street, Rome, New York, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 in Rome Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born September 10, 1935 in Rome, New York the son of Earl and Florence Wilkes. Mr. Wilkes was educated in Rome. On October 17, 1955 he married Joanne Nason in St. Mary's Church. She died June 11, 2000. He was a custodian for the Rome City School District. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Doreen and Rick Rogers, Darlene and Carl Greene, Christine and Richard Lusby, all of Rome; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kevin and Donna Wilkes, Rome; Shawn Wilkes and friend, Tammy Sweet, Utica; one sister and brother-in-law, Julia and Hubby Abel, Rome; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bill Wilkes, Ray and Eleanor Wilkes, Bob and Nola Wilkes, all of Rome, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one son, Richard H. Wilkes, who died in 2003. Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome Saturday 3:00P.M. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday 1:00P.M. to 3:00P.M. Services: Calling hours Sat. 1-3pm Funeral services Sat. 3pm at the funeral home
