Yakobiszyn, 90, of 157 Kingston Drive, St. Augustine, Florida, formerly of Rome, died Saturday, October 22, 2005 at the home of her daughter after a long illness. She was born June 4, 1915 in Utica the daughter of Andrew and Clara Daniels Demski. Mrs. Yakobiszyn was educated in Rome. In 1936 she married Edward Yakobiszyn in Rome. He died in 1964. Mrs. Yakobiszyn was employed at Rome Developmental Center retiring in 1977. While in Rome she was a member of Transfiguration Church. Surviving are three daughters and three sons-in law, Sonia and Charles Mackey, Gloucester Point, Virginia and Henderson Harbor, New York; Linda and John Mealie, Beaver,Pennsylvania; Nancy Yakobiszyn and her husband, Frank Auletti, St. Augustine; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome Thursday 9:30A.M. and Transfiguration Church 10:00A.M. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 6:00 to 8:00P.M. Wednesday. Contributions may be made in Josephine's memory to Transfiguration Church Memorial Fund. Services: Calling hours 6-8 Wed.
