Prior, 90, formerly of Jervis Avenue, Rome, New York, died Saturday, September 3, 2005 in Rome Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born July 24, 1915 in Rome, New York the daughter of William and Elma Keppel Leicht. Mrs. Pryor was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On December 8, 1933 she married McClellan M. Pryor in Oneida. He died August 15, 1969. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis M and Marsene Pryor, North Chittenden, Vermont; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Andrew, Jessica and one great-grandson, Kyle. She was predeceased by a sister, Alma Laventure. Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome Saturday at 9:30A.M. Interment at Crown Hill Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday 9:00A.M. to 9:30A.M. . Contributions may be made in Doris's memory to the Rome Humane Society.
