(Bill) Chance, 73, of 5512 Lowell Road, Rome, New York, died Sunday, March 25, 2007 in Rome Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born May 3, 1933 in Peoria, Illinois the son of William M. and Laverne Sommer Chance. Bill was a graduate of the St. Cloud, Minnesota High School. On August 28, 1958 he married Dorlene Price in Montgomery, Alabama. Mr. Change was a twenty-three year veteran of the United States Air Force retiring on December 1, 1973 and later operated a woodworking shop Surviving besides his wife are two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Mark Stauring, Frankfort; Alice and Jeffrey Corl, Leland, North Carolina; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Laura Chance, Marcy; Jeffrey and Regina Chance, Long Beach, California; one sister, Patricia, one brother, Tom and five grandchildren, Melissa, Ethan, Olivia, Timothy and William.
