Ciszek, 94, of Birchwood Healthcare Center, Liverpool, New York, formerly of Rome, New York died Thursday, September 1, 2005 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. He was born November 19, 1910 in Rome, New York the son of Frank and Mary Ochab Ciszek. Mr. Ciszek was educated in Rome. On June 25, 1938 he married Stella Zbytniewski in West Leyden. She died December 13, 1997. Mr. Ciszek was employed at Rome Cable Corporation for twenty-five years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center and was previously a longtime member of Transfiguration Church. Stanley was an avid fisherman, beloved father, uncle and treasured friend to many. Stan's family would like to express a heartfelt thank-you to each of his outstanding caregivers and friends at Birchwood. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Ginny and Burton Tennyson, Liverpool; one brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Janice Ciszek, Sacramento, California; longtime-friend, Don Morin, Liverpool; several nieces, nephews and special "granddaughters", Laurie Buxton, Mexico, New York and Sirena Woods, Clay, New York. He was predeceased by two sisters, Frances Rakoczy, Julia Ciszek and one brother, Theodore Ciszek. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:15am at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, and 10am at St. Joseph's Church in Lee Center. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
