Coolidge Gleason, 93, of Westernville, died March 22, 2007, in Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born August 23, 1913, in Greig, NY, the daughter of Edward and Marion Andrews. She was a graduate of Greig schools. On August 22, 2002, she married Stanley Gleason in the Northwestern United Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Rowland presiding. She was previously married to the late Carl Coolidge. Geraldine worked at Griffiss Air Force Base for over nineteen years. She was a member of the Lee United Methodist Church and was formerly the President of the W.S.C.S. for eleven years. Surviving besides her husband, are two daughters and a son-in-law, Frances Smalz, of Norwich, and Carla and John Nelson, of Middletown, NY; a stepson, Brian Gleason, Middleville, NY; three sisters and one brother; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service for Geraldine will take place on Wednesday at 7pm at the Northwestern United Methodist Church. Interment will take place in Sands Cemetery in Greig, NY. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
