Tennant, 58, formerly of Rome, died August 22, 2005 in Jacksonville, FL after a long illness. He was born October 12, 1946 in Rome, a son of Robert and Nellie Burdick Tennant. Ray was a self-employed roofer for many years. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by a son, David Tennant, Kansas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Barb and Edward Cutler, Irene and Ralph Rodgers, Lucille Tennant, all of Rome; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Leon (Butch) Tennant, Carlton and Lisa Tennant, Gerald and Bonnie Tennant, all of Rome, and Kenneth Tennant, Jacksonville, FL. He was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley and Rose, and five brothers, Richard (Dick), Robert, Jr., Herbert, Donald and Harry, and a special little boy, Timmy Joe Szablewski. Ray's family would like to give a special thanks to his niece Janet and her spouse Piggy Baylor for the special care they gave to him during his illness.
