Obituary:Addie Ann (Davis) Klossner of North George Street passed away on December 18, 2005 at Betsy Ross Rehabilitation Center in Rome, New York after a short illness.
She was born on September 4, 1917 in Rome the daughter of Frederick Willard and Sophronia Edna Stearns Davis. She spent her childhood in Vernon and attended Vernon schools.
Addie Ann was united in marriage to Gottlieb Klossner in York, Pennsylvania on June 11, 1947. He died in 1974
Mrs. Klossner was employed at Olney and Floyd Canning Factory, Lee Center and Canastota for many years and was also a Health-Aide for Oneida County.
She was a member of the North Bay Rebekah Lodge and transferred to Queen Esther Lodge No 71 in Rome.
Surviving are a sister, Verona Lawrence, Rome; sister-in-law, Verna Davis and Toby Davis Vergalito, two half brothers, Frederick Bird, Florida; Norman Davis of Camden; two step-daughters, Madeline Gerace and Leona Barber, both of Rome; step-son Reynold Klossner, Tupper Lake and step-sisters, Katherine Stagner, Blossvale; Frances Pharcef, Florida; Patricia Whitaker, Oklahoma and Margaret Wafker. Addie is also survived by seven nieces and fourteen nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, George, Melvin, Frederick and Charles Davis and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome Thursday at 1pm. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery
Friends may call at the funeral 5:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. Wednesday.
