Name: Shirley I. Rutz Date of Death: Saturday, July 23, 2005 Residence: Rome NY Age: 61 Obituary:Shirley I. Rutz, 61, of Rome, died July 23, 2005 in Rome Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born May 11, 1944, in Rome, the daughter of Glen and Ida Loveland Piersall. She was educated in Camden schools. On December 31, 1959, she married Wayne Rutz in St. John's Lutheran Church in Rome. Shirley was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall South Rome. Surviving besides her husband, are three daughters and a son-in-law, Annette Rutz, Whitesboro, Rose Allemann, Taberg, and Mary and Mark Gerace, Rome; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Jr. and Donna, Durhamville; five sisters, Carol Mortise, Blossvale, Esther Hendrickson, North Carolina, Mary Rutz, Camden, Betty Coster, Texas, and Dawn Philo, Texas; a brother, Glen Piersall Jr., Camden; her mother-in-law, Rose M. Rutz; nine grandchildren, Ronald Jr., Matthew, Christopher, Jacob, Jessica, Sharee, Wayne III, Aleshia, and Gordon Jr.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Faith and Joan, and two brothers, Richard and Howard. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall South Rome at 7pm. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to the Kingdom Hall South Rome. Services: Memorial service Wed. 7pm at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall South Rome
