(Clint) Barnett, 58, of Holmes Road, Rome, died July 15, 2005 in St. Elizabeth's Hospital after a long illness. He was born January 26, 1947 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the son of Clinton and Ruth Allen Barnett. Clint was educated in Watertown, MA schools. On April 19, 1985, he married Adele Phipps in Belmont, MA. Clint resided in the Rome area for the past year. Mr. Barnett worked for the U. S. Postal Service in Massachusetts for over twenty years, retiring due to ill health. He served in the U. S. Marines during the Viet Nam War. Surviving besides his wife are his mother; a daughter, Kendra D. Barnett; and two sons, Clinton M. and Devlin A., all of Rome. Clint was an avid pet lover and had owned numerous cats and dogs. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St. Interment Floyd Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
